My Passion Project Dance!

Mothers Day Poem!

Hair, the colour of the chocolate that she eats on a friday night.
Her look makes me want to smile, She’s so calm when she is seated in the living room (her zone)

She’s like that.

As I go in to hug her I get the strongest smell of perfume, mixed wiŧh the smell of freshly baked muffins. She loves baking.

She’s like that.

Her touch is as delicate as a snowflake. Delicately she comes in to give me hug.

She’s like that.

She makes me laugh when her laugh comes raging out.
The voice I need to tell me everything is going to be fine is her voice.

She’s like that.

To Mum.
From your truly grateful daughter, Chloe.

Dance Writing Report

Dance is a form of art and is a way to express yourself without words. Dance is loved by many girls and boys all around the world.

                                      Rules in dance

Just like in other sports, dance has rules. In dance you need to point your toes, have your hair tied up out of your face and spot on your pirouettes.  You must also have good manners and respect other people and the dance teachers. You also need to be a good listener because if you learn a dance or a move you need to watch and listen so you know how to do it.

                                  Common Dance Studio Styles
There are many types or styles of dance. These dances require different music than others and the dancer moves their body in different ways. In jazz the music is upbeat but in ballet the music is more delicate and graceful.
These dance styles are enjoyed by many people that go to a studio.
It’s nice to be able to dance different styles as well as Jazz and Ballet there is Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Acrobatic dance( Acro ) and Hip Hop.

                                               Who Can Dance

You don’t have to go to a Dance Studio to be able to dance. You could dance in the kitchen while cooking (be careful you don’t hurt yourself), You could dance in your room or you could make up cool dances to music in your backyard. You don’t need a lot of space and you don’t need to do all the graceful dancing, you can just mess around a bit!

What Does It Take To Be A Famous Dancer

There are a number of ways to become a famous dancer, but they all require Hard work, dedication and the ability to handle rejection.
You also need to have the time to practice and the time to do dance and get involved in as many dance things as you can. Being a dancer is like being an athlete, you need to keep healthy and eat well.

The Most Famous Dancer In The World

Mikhail Baryshnikov is a famous dancer and is known all over the world for his incredible talent he is not only just an amazing ballet dancer but he has created movies and books!  Mikhail Baryshnikov is aged 69 and was born on the 27th of january 1948. His height is  165cm (5ft and 5 inches tall. )   Mikhail Baryshnikov was married in 2006 to Lisa Rinehart.  Years later they had 4 kids: Shura Baryshnikov, Anna Baryshnikov, Sophia-Louisa Baryshnikov, Peter Andrew Baryshnikov.

Dancing helps gain lots of confidence and
it also helps you to work with other people.                          Practice like you’ve never won.
                                                                             Perform like you’ve never lost.

Lightning Never Strikes Twice!

Lightning Never Strikes Twice.

There I stood, looking at all the stormy clouds pass.

I sat down on the soft golden sand watching the waves crash and tumble to the ground. All of a sudden, there was rain pouring, loud thunderous noises screaming from the sky. Lightning strikes all around me, then stops and then again in the same place the lightning came back.

‘Lightning never strikes twice’ I thought

An Icy Plunge

The young pup peered down into the icy water below with a growing feeling of trepidation. Only a few days old, she had learnt so much already from watching her mother, but this challenge was her greatest so far.
How would it feel to be submerged? What would she find lurking underneath the surface? How would ever she get back onto dry land?
Questions flooded her mind like a torrent of icy water, but bravely she inched closer to the edge… She slid closer and closer until Plop! She had gracefully fell into the water including a little plop from the water. Soon she had reached the bottom of the ice cold water, nothing was stopping her. The water was rushing past her face like silk. She was swimming as fast as she could so she could reach the island that she had been wanting to visit after swimming for 10 minutes!

FInally she was there. She pulled herself up with all her might on to the icy island. She felt proud of herself and she knew that her mum was very proud of her as well.

A Walk Into Wonderland

This is my piece of writing that I am very proud of. I love all of the questions that I have put in there and I love how I included different colours and pictures to make it interesting to look at and read.

                    WONDERLAND

I was quickly attaching the name tags to my backpacks with my phone number as well as my name on it, then I packed the heavy backpacks into my sky blue Range Rover and hit the road. Out of town.

Whilst I was driving I came across a HUGE Castle and a beautiful garden that I knew people must play croquet on. I took a turn and drove over the gravelly driveway.

I knocked nervously on the polished gold and silver doors, I twiddled my thumbs as they slowly creaked open, I walked anxiously into the spacious red, black, silver and gold castle.
I could tell that whoever lived here must be a very big fan of the colour red!

I silently crept two steps then stopped and I stood there shocked and while I was taking it all in I noticed that every single thing was red:
  • Red checkered flooring
  • Red modern couch
  • Red coffee table...
    And so on…

This was very awkward and interesting at the same time,
Because there was pigs running around like crazy chickens and frogs making raspberry jam tarts, Whilst Red haired, big headed woman was sitting at the table reading a book and funny enough the book was red!

Suddenly the guards started charging at me with big huge silver swords!
I gasped knowing that my adventure, well maybe even my life was going to end.

The woman shrieked with all her might and then she took a good look at me and noticed who I really am.

“Oh WOW! It’s really you!" Yes Aunty Iracebeth” (By the way Iracebeth is the Queen of hearts  )
“did you pass my tweedle dee and tweedle dum they are my cute little fat boys!” said Aunty Iracebeth
Reading the story can you guess who I really am?

SOLVING PATTERNS!

SOLVING FISH PATTERN:

The rule in this pattern is x3 +2 because the first fish has got one head ( 3 sticks ) then the second fish has two heads ( 6 sticks ) and then the third one has 3 heads ( 9 sticks )  So they are just counting up in 3s but don't forget the tail which each one has two sticks so that means it is x3 +2! sticks

Ask any questions on the comments if you are confused on this problem. I will be putting more patterns on the blog soon.
